This class offers a unique twist for your beginning gymnast. Using age-appropriate equipment and fun techniques, your child will gain creative and rhythmic movement as well as flexibility, gross motor skills, and gymnastics fundamentals. Exploring equipment such as beams, cylinders, high bar, humps, springboard, and wedges, your child will learn, progress and have fun…for the love of play!We ask that one parent/guardian remains with the child during the class.

Does your child love to run, jump, climb, and tumble???  Then his "play" on America Ninja Warriors is the perfect class! Each week your child will participate in stretching, obstacles, and games to help gross motor skills, fitness, and fun!  From swinging on a high bar to balance beams, tumbling on mats to leaping into a ball pit - your child is sure to have a blast!

4:00 PM - 4:45 PM    Field Hockey (Introduction) - Field Hockey Skills & Drills (Outdoors -- Wednesday)
Learn the basics in field hockey! All skill levels are welcome. We will explore the basic rules of the game, proper grips & posture, ball and stick control, tackling, receiving/trapping, passing and go through fun drills. Depending on class size, we will try to get some game action in as well!Required equipment includes a field hockey stick, shin guards and mouth guard. A face mask would also be encouraged. We do have a LIMITED number available for purchase at the Pfaff Center. Class will be led by coach Lynne Malmquist, a current assistant coach and former varsity field hockey player at Medfield High School, as well as members of the varsity high school team.** For outdoor sessions, classes will be held at McCarthy Park on the large field in front of the Little League fields. Please do not send your child out to the field until the prior group has cleared out. ** Note -- Indoor sessions will be held at the Pfaff Center, 124 North St. Due to the size of the space, we will only be running an indoor session for grades 1-2 as of now. This is an introduction to the sport, so no previous experience is required.

This league is for children who are currently in Kindergarten.Team shirts and hats are given to each player on the first day.Equipment provided includes: tees, balls, helmets and bases. Kids will need to bring their own glove.Games are scheduled for Wednesday afternoons from 5:15-6:15 and are held on the small soccer fields at McCarthy Park. COACHES WANTED!!!Kinder T-Ball seeks AT LEAST two volunteers per team to serve as coaches. Contact Jacqui at medfieldpr@gmail.com if interested. Rosters and schedules will be distributed by Monday, May 2nd.All players will need to have their own glove with them. Park & Rec will provide the bats, balls, bases and tees. Medfield Parks & Recreation and Knucklebones are collaborating to offer a flag football program that will start with basic drills, then teams are created for the games played in the remaining weeks. The focus of the program is to provide a fun, positive atmosphere while teaching the sport of flag football and the excitement of being a part of a team.

                Legacy Lacrosse & Medfield Parks & Recreation Presents:                     Learn to Lax! 6-Week Skills Development Program Our Goals: Introduce your child to the various skills they will need to become a confident youth lacrosse player. Develop players lacrosse IQ. Increase players' ABCs (agility, balance, coordination). Provide strength-based feedback. What to expect: Players will spend the majority of the sessions with a ball in their sticks. Cradling basics, ground ball technique, how to take the draw/face-off, dodging and jab steps, defensive positioning, passing & catching, fast break scenarios, numbers up/down situations, off-ball movement, double teams and more! What to bring: Water bottle, stick, mouth guard, cleats/turfs for grass, goggles (girls only), helmet (boys only), gloves (boys only).

                Legacy Lacrosse & Medfield Parks & Recreation Presents:                     Learn to Lax! 6-Week Skills Development Program Our Goals: Introduce your child to the various skills they will need to become a confident youth lacrosse player. Develop players lacrosse IQ. Increase players' ABCs (agility, balance, coordination). Provide strength-based feedback. What to expect: Players will spend the majority of the sessions with a ball in their sticks. Cradling basics, ground ball technique, how to take the draw/face-off, dodging and jab steps, defensive positioning, passing & catching, fast break scenarios, numbers up/down situations, off-ball movement, double teams and more! What to bring: Water bottle, stick, mouth guard, cleats/turfs for grass, goggles (girls only), helmet (boys only), gloves (boys only).

Provide strength-based feedback. What to expect: Players will spend the majority of the sessions with a ball in their sticks. Cradling basics, ground ball technique, how to take the draw/face-off, dodging and jab steps, defensive positioning, passing & catching, fast break scenarios, numbers up/down situations, off-ball movement, double teams and more! What to bring: Water bottle, stick, mouth guard, cleats/turfs for grass, goggles (girls only), helmet (boys only), gloves (boys only).

This class offers a unique twist for your beginning gymnast. Using age-appropriate equipment and fun techniques, your child will gain creative and rhythmic movement as well as flexibility, gross motor skills, and gymnastics fundamentals. Exploring equipment such as beams, cylinders, high bar, humps, springboard, and wedges, your child will learn, progress and have fun…for the love of play!We ask that one parent/guardian remains with the child during the class.

Does your child love to run, jump, climb, and tumble???  Then his "play" on America Ninja Warriors is the perfect class! Each week your child will participate in stretching, obstacles, and games to help gross motor skills, fitness, and fun!  From swinging on a high bar to balance beams, tumbling on mats to leaping into a ball pit - your child is sure to have a blast!

This league is for children who are currently in Kindergarten.Team shirts and hats are given to each player on the first day.Equipment provided includes: tees, balls, helmets and bases. Kids will need to bring their own glove.Games are scheduled for Wednesday afternoons from 5:15-6:15 and are held on the small soccer fields at McCarthy Park. COACHES WANTED!!!Kinder T-Ball seeks AT LEAST two volunteers per team to serve as coaches. Contact Jacqui at medfieldpr@gmail.com if interested. Rosters and schedules will be distributed by Monday, May 2nd.All players will need to have their own glove with them. Park & Rec will provide the bats, balls, bases and tees. Medfield Parks & Recreation and Knucklebones are collaborating to offer a flag football program that will start with basic drills, then teams are created for the games played in the remaining weeks. The focus of the program is to provide a fun, positive atmosphere while teaching the sport of flag football and the excitement of being a part of a team.
